it's a great movie

That persistent white head-band/bandage on his head is PROBABLY due to injury from slamming his head on the table in supplication/begging through much of the middle of the movie. Too funny.

If I had a nickel for every time a white guy with the last name Adams traveled overseas to cheat on his wife with a Japanese woman, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't much, but it's weird that it happened twice. (Shōgun and Invasion of Astro-Monster).

O'Brien deserved better, at least he and his history with this movie is forever eternalized

I loved Ghidorah's uber-cool design when I was a kid, and always sighed with a relief when he managed to escape at the end of confrontations. 🙂

Made my girlfriend come with me to theaters to see this with me made her cry 3 times 10/10 and I loved it

I watched a Japanese version of Final Wars. I say “A” version because in this one, Don Frye’s character didn’t have subtitles. Idk if this is actually part of the movie or a mistake, but it made me miss out on all of his lines and I had to infer from all the other characters lines what he possibly said.

Does anyone else think that in the English dub, Sarah sounds like an adult played her?

To this day I have never seen Godzilla raids again because the Godzilla suit is terrifying and Unknowingly’s man in the suit analog horror videos aren’t helping 🥶

Thank you for your research and the efforts you put into these videos. This was my 2nd Godzilla movie. I remember back in '98. I had just watched Zilla and was hungry for more Godzilla content. VHS rentals were a big thing back in the day, and 6 year old me had no idead Godzilla existed prior to '98. Imagine my surprise when I read the title "Mothra vs Godzilla". The 90's and early 2000's were good times.

I know I'm late to this video, but your channel is awesome. Growing up in NY as a kid while also being a NY Jets fan/Godzilla fan, this channel has been great entertainment for a number of reasons. Even the "watching a Godzilla film while sick" was something I could relate to (although mine was Ghidorah, The Three Headed Monster). It's nice to know I wasn't the only fan of Godzilla growing up in the 90's. 😂

Along with Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla (1974) this was probably the godzilla movie i watched the most as a kid having it on DVD, now i appreciate the more serious godzilla movies more but I love godzilla equally, silly or serious.

I don't really get your point about comparisons Sure it's not illegal and necessarily harmful, but comparing GxK to -1 just doesn't work, nothing you say about one could really work for the other, they're like square and triangle holes

Lately I've been thinking that Ken might have been the inspiration for Mikki Segusa in the Hesei era. Like Mikki, Ken had a psychic connection with Godzilla and it would have been interesting to see what they would have done with that.

When I was a kid this was one of my favorites. It was one of the few plots my tiny 7 year old brain could understand. I also had not seen the other "son of godzilla" films so I had no clue most of the fights in this movie we re-used. They were all new to me!

This movie is still one of my favorite in the franchise. I fully buy into the human drama of this movie. I will never forget being in the theatre with my dad and cheering when Godzilla fired his atomic breath for the first time. The music, special effects, and story are all top-notch. It's not without criticism, but it stands tall in spite of those critics. It barely misses out on my Top 5 (Gojira, Minus One, Shin, The Return of Godzilla, and GMK), and I love a large number of Godzilla movies.

Whenever Jet Jaguar isn't on screen you should be asking "Where is Jet Jaguar"

This movie isn't even in the bottom 5 for worst-ever Godzilla movies. It's in the lower tiers for sure, but it has a lot of popcorn entertainment and meme value.

Hot take: Ebirah is cooler than King Kong

I'm surprised you didn't mention the copyright thing that came with this movie since it never came with it was basically up for grabs to anyone.
